Edoya
Edo is the former name of Japans Capial city Tokyo.
The city of Edo or Tokyo was first settled in the 1100's

Edo or Tokyo was the true center of power, government and life itself was also known as the  Edo way.

For most people in japan today Edo still remains a symbolic image and represents nearly all that the japanese consider traditional culture.

To the right is a picture of an ancient shop which has an irresistable charm and the inscriptions on the sign say Edo-ya.

Edo is actually the name for Old Tokyo during the Samurai Era or the Edo Era. The word is still used today with immense pride and Ya bears the meaning to shop.
